Deep Clean.

Hello, Chaps.
Today's' lesson is all about how to clean and re-build your "AMAL" concentric ( does not matter what size or model number ) I'm going to do the monoblock next.. pay attention at the back there .......
**********************************************************************************
First take your manky old carb

*********************************************************Take it all apart
***********************************
Then collect this sort of stuff together .
Safety glasses.
Rubber gloves.
Bucket of clean water.

I use- an old chip frying basket and a bucket that it fits into, and a bottle of
white spirit. (this completely de-grease 's ...engine parts need oiling or spray with W.D.40 when dry as they rust very quickly . petrol is just as good ...but remember
put that fag out !!!

****************************************

**************************************************************
1/2 fill the bucket with the de-grease stuff of you choice and an old paintbrush (fairly stiff )

***********************************************************************************
Take your carb apart and put in basket
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Put basket in bucket and let to soak for a while to soften the crap
then put on goggles and rubber gloves
give it a good stir
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
Carefully take the rubbers off before you wash the air and throttle stop screws ( the white spirit eats the rubber )

````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
When clean.. dry all the bits.
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
BE CAREFUL ACID IS USED IN THE NEXT BIT.......(pay attention jones minor..stop looking out of the window
This is the stuff I use to clean all my ally bits ..I think there are agents all over the country
( click on pic to read the phone number and ask )
this is used by car valeters to clean ally wheels , so you can probably get the same sort of stuff under another name.
*********************************************************
Put some in a bucket
Make sure you put on the gloves and goggles
********************************************************
And have clean water to wash off any acid splashes on skin...(ooooh.. my face is melting!!)
**************************************************
Get some bits of wire. NOT with a plastic coating!!
and fix to all the bits
..( you boy..yes you .!! if you continue to smoke that funny cigarette I just hope you've rolled it big enough for everyone..)...
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
Dunk it in the acid ...oh pretty man
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
dunk it up and down a bit and use an old paint brush
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
when it stops fizzing.
*************************************
Take it out
**************************************************
put it straight into the water to kill the acid.
****************************************
( jones minor ..if you look out of the window again I will make you do P.E. with the girls....jones ..jones..where have you gone.????!!!)
*****************************
**********************************
wash with the same brush
******************************************************
check all the crap has come off ,if not dry it and do it again.
****************************************************************
When 100% hang up to dry
***********************************************
the bits will go white ( don't panic)
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
***********************************************************
